The roads are examined annually and the maintenance they need is determined through a comprehensive survey that determines the conditions of the asphalt paving layers and shows the levels of damage and the extent of their spread using modern devices that operate with laser technology. Non-pavement elements to determine their level of performance and determine the condition of road elements through criteria that show the condition of paving layers and others that determine the state of facilities and criteria for non-pavement elements. The Ministry seeks to develop the performance of maintenance and operation works by making use of modern technologies and advanced methods to identify road problems and assess their impact on each road and its users, in addition to identifying the future state of roads.
